The Voices

For past few days, I often hear two voices having a conversation. The voices found familiar, but I couldn’t recognize those.

This morning, after having breakfast, I went to continue my sleep. When I lay down, I heard those voices again. I went out of my home and searched, I couldn’t  find anyone. Then, I checked my neighbor’s house, there too no sign of people. I didn’t hear those voices now. So, I went to bed again.

The moment I close my eyes, I heard those voices again. I stepped out of my bed and the voices were stopped. I lay down and after few seconds, I heard those voices again.

I recalled the times and realized whenever I was idle I heard those voices.  Slowly, I recognized from where those were coming – inside me.

I keenly started listening to those voices.

Voice 1 – Hey, I have never seen a fool like him. Now only, he recognized us.

Voice 2 – He may have few problems, Who knows ?

Voice 1 – Who doesn’t has problems ? It's because, in recent days, he rarely uses his brain.

Voice 2 – But he always listens to his heart.

Voice 1 – Only  a loser does that.  If you have Reset or Recovery button, the problems will vanish in a minute and everything will be perfect as new one.

Voice 2 – It may be wise for Human Made devices, not for Human. Human life is filled emotions, feelings, you can’t just erase everything.

Voice 1 – Even while resetting the devices, there are possible chances to lose valuable things. You have to sacrifice few things to live better than ever.

Voice 2 – There’s no backup option in life as in those devices.

Voice 1 – Note down one thing, In few years Human will create a device to manage our memories. In that way, men will be the better creator than God.

Voice  2 - God knew what’s correct for his children. If he feels, it’s time, he’ll destroy the whole world once again and reset it.

Voice 1 - Nice Joke. also, share your opinion on Big Bang Theory.

Voice 2 – I don’t want to argue about the existence of god with you.

Voice 1 -  Even me.

Voice 2 – Shall we ask him to post about this on the blog and ask his readers opinion.

Voice 1 – Oh yes, millions are waiting for his blog. As soon as he post, he’ll get instant responses.

Voice 2 – Why are you so huffy on him ?

Voice 1 – He himself a lazy goose and ..

“Enough” I shouted at Voice 1.

OMG! If I was idle, even my so-called thoughts were not giving respect, then how can I expect it from others.

I came outside from my room and saw my mother cleaning the house.

I went near to her and told “Mom, give the mop, let me clean the house”

My mom was surprised and said “ Really ?”. I smiled. She got relieved, handed over the mop to me and went kitchen to do her culinary works.

I decided never to be idle hereafter and cleaned the house, by thinking “What Voice 1 was about to say after “and” ?”

Inspire

Feelings.

We can’t set up few words and say this is the definition of feelings. It varies in smithereens depending on people.  In that, Friendship is more about inspiring others than having fun.

I see two things. One is being friendly with everyone, another is being a friend to few.

In brief, if you are smiling at an unknown person, it’s being friendly. A person is asking you for an aid and if you feel reluctant for a second, it’s enough to understand you are being friendly with that person, not as a friend. You have given that person an enough space to ask you a help. Unfortunately, you didn’t make that in your heart and mind. It’s 100% normal.

On the contrary, if you didn’t mind for a second to help, even if you didn’t help that person, then you are living as a good friend to that person. I want to make one thing clear, I’m not saying about rendering a help but the intention to do. We can be friendly to anyone, but not as a friend to all.

I believe in a fact, “the best friendships tend to be with the people in which you can openly be weird with”

While writing about this, I was thinking about how friendships would began. I have heard of many reasons on how two people became friends.

“We are born to be friends”, “We itself don’t know”,

 “It simply happened”,   “We have mutual affinity”,

“He’s really genuine”,    “Because of his good character”,

“She’s very pretty”,        “He helped me when I was helpless”,

“He’s rich”,         “She’s brilliant, studious, so I became her friend”

Like this, I heard many as well told many reasons.

I would like to share a story of two people how they became friends.

It’s a story of two friends who studied in the same college, stayed in the same hostel, later shared their room.

Wait ! Wait !

Before proceeding further, lets give a name for our heroes - Rohith and Parasuram. Nice name, isn't ?

Back to the story, both hadn’t talked much, but used to share a friendly smile whenever they pass over each other.

One evening, while playing cricket, Parasuram received a call. He attended, it was Rohith in the other side. Rohith asked Parasuram, “Shall we go out for dinner ?", initially Parasuram was confused and reluctant, after hearing the word "I’ll sponsor” from Rohith, he nodded positively.  Who would say no, when a scapegoat comes our way and ask us to chop down its head.

Parasuram responded “I’ll be back in 30 minutes, after that we can go”. They hanged the call. Parasuram was surprised by the call.

Exactly an hour later, they went outside to have dinner. Following the dinner, they talked about their Family, School life, College life, Cinema, Foods, Hotels, Politics, friends and got to know each other. Sitting in front of their hostel, they kept talking for more than an hour. Despite all the talking, Parasuram wanted to know why Rohith asked him a man-date.  

Once they planned to go inside the hostel, Parasuram shot his question “Rohith, Why from no where, you asked me to come out with you ?”.

Rohith smiled and said “I liked the way you eat”.

Parasuram was like “Eek !”, asked “What are you saying?”

“I often notice you in mess, you’ll take food limitedly, eat cleanly and mostly never waste food”

Parasuram was spell-bounded and he had never heard such a reason in his life time.

From that day, it became a mandatory that Rohith have to sponsor Parasuram, whenever they go out for a man-date.

We used to do few things without knowing those are good,  definitely one day or another we’ll reap for those good deeds, like Parasuram.

Fun apart, Rohith always inspires Parasuram to be a good friend.

That’s the end of the story of never ending friendship.

Be an inspiring person, if not to society at least to your friend. This bond will help us to build an inspiring surrounding.

TN Election 2016 - Post Report

Yesterday at 7 am, the election booths were filled with middle aged people, who were enthusiastic as ever, to cast their vote to their favorite party. At 9 am, it was reported that 18% votes had been polled. Many thought to have record percentage in polling. But nature had different ideas as it started pouring. The day ended with nearly 74% polling. Though it is 4.5 % less than previous election, in terms of Voters turnout it’s a new record.

In 2011, the polling percentage was 78.5% in 4.71 Crore people i.e. 3.6 Cr people had voted. This time, 74% in 5.82 Crore i.e. 4.3 Cr people have voted. Clearly, indicates votes of new electors will be the key.

This morning, most of the people while going for their morning seemed to discuss about yesterday’s election and started their prediction, yet the election have to be conducted in two more constituencies.  Generally in TN assembly elections maximum of three alliances would fight for the throne. But this time, it is different, six coalitions have been formed. But this doesn’t seem to change the outlook of people. They remember two symbols – Rising Sun and Two Leaves. Majority of the people wants either DMK or ADMK to throne, not any other party. They were mentally fixed to give power to both parties alternatively. They were fixed with ideologies, and doesn’t want to change unless a miracle happens. They don’t have belief with the alliances which formed just for the sake of elections. People feel that these parties can't be in coalitions for long term. Only if the newly formed fronts prove them wrong by continuing their alliance even after the elections, there will be chances for change in power in the future elections.

Everyone who watched the video of RJ Balaji where he questioned few youngsters were dumbstruck, when a girl said “Either Mukherjee or Modi will be the President of India”. The word Pathetic is an understatement. Chaffing them is of no use. They are the mere representatives of five out of ten youngsters out there. Their reply would be like they are not interested in Politics, how come one could live in a place with out knowing about it? When people can remember Indian cricket squad, why can’t the Cabinet Ministers of India ?  Each individual have to take the responsibility and know about Politics, just a basic.

Will DMK recapture the power or AMDK continue its possession?

A day to go to know the results, anything may happen. How the vote shared will determine the result in each constituencies.  Each front alleged that there is a huge possibility for their party to claim the throne. If any other parties won more seat than expected, then we are going to witness the minority government once again after 2006. All we need is a government, not just for caring people also to empower their life.

Think before you ...... VOTE

This season is going to end. No, No, not summer! the election season!. Many people couldn’t sleep during afternoon times in home, as vehicles with speakers coming and announcing their Party’s welfare schemes continuously. Everything is coming to end and people can have a peaceful sleep in a week.

Before that one responsibility is awaiting, it is voting. Being the electors we have the responsibility to select the right candidate. Most of the elders would vote for their favorite party. Most of the first time voters will listen to their parents and cast their vote. Keeping their notions aside, people should vote to the party which will do good for the people. If there is no such party, at least to the party which will act like doing good for the people. Fun apart, there are many things where people would give money to get their basic necessities. Election is the only time where money will be given to people to get their vote. It’s not just about pressing the button in E-Voting Machine, the growth of state/nation lies in it. Kindly don’t debt vote for sake of money. Understand the value of Vote and cast it to the Party which will do good for the people.

There is a speculation that, if NOTA gets more vote than Candidates re-election would happen. It’s absolute false. According to the Press note of Election Commission of India on NOTA “Even if the number of electors opting for NOTA option is more than number of votes polled by any of the candidates, the candidate who secures largest number of votes has to be declared elected.” So, going with NOTA is not the wise choice.

Small statistical data about 2011 TN assembly election, Total electors - 4.71 Cr and the number of electors who voted is 3.67 Cr. More than a crore, i.e., 22% of voters didn’t cast their vote.

Number of Electors in 2016 (age group wise)

21.05 lakh voters in the age group of 18-19,                  1.17 crore in 20-29 age,

1.39 crore in 30-39 age,                                                  1.24 crore in 40-49 age

87.32 lakh in 50-59 age,                                                  56.15 lakh in 60-69 age

26.58 lakh in 70-79 age,                                                  8.4 lakh above 80 years

Total electors - 5.82 Cr

This time number of electors is increased by 1 Cr. Votes of people in age group 18-29 (1.38 Cr) will decide the fate of this election, if at least 1 Cr in that age group cast their vote.

Expecting 100% voting and beating Tripura’s (in 2013 election) record of 93.57% voter turnout is idiotic. Even 85% of voter turnout will be good enough. Everyone must prepone or postpone their plans and cast their vote on May 16.

thought on a friend !

Everyone out there has two faces, one is good and other is bad. It depends on others how they take his activities. Even if a person wants to do something good for society, few will oppose that idea, as they have personal vengeance. Likewise, if a person did something very wrong, there will be few people argue his behavior was right. This applies not only to humans, also to their inventions.

Internet is one of the best innovations of 20^th century. Since its inception worldwide in 1990s, the usage of internet had increased more than 100 times. It premises people can lead a life breathing Internet. That’s how it involved in everyone’s life. Right from morning news to late night texts, Internet became the part of the humans.

Everyone knew, it’s a competitive world. An individual alone can’t stand firm against all the odds. So, a person needs a guide to achieve his goals. Those who don’t have one, found their guide in Internet.  Everything a child wants to learn is available in Internet. After getting graduation, it helps to get a job. For few, it helps to get a life partner. To an extent, it brings out people from their sorrow. When people going abroad, it helps to keep connected with their loved ones and prevent them from home sick. Home sick causes the mental stress, affects a person psychologically and sometimes leads to death. It appeared simple, but saves a life at this point.

All the companies, organisations, educational institutions, hospitals have sophisticated with internet facility. Many people doing online jobs to save their family. If people want to travel or watch their favorite hero’s movie, they need Internet to book tickets. Even organisations, concentrate more on Internet Marketing as it reach maximum number of audiences. Internet is one of the major reasons for the development of the developing nations. People can find the countries with minimum usage of Internet at the under developed nations. From an individual to the entire nation, Internet is needed to upgrade themselves to withstand among their peers.

On the down side, there are people using it for forbidden activities, affecting some serious issues to the world. Immediately, experts start up their debate and argue that Internet is bane and another set of experts defend that. Does these activities were happening only because of Internet? No, they only use Internet as a tool. Even if there is no Internet, still they will find some other tool and execute their plans precisely. Everything can’t be 100% perfect. Similarly, not all the inventions are used by people in right way.

A thief stole precious jewels when there is no electricity. The set of people who blame the thief for their carelessness are normal human being. There will be another set of people, who blame electricity as it helped the thief to steal, no comments for those from me. Internet has always been a boon for the world. It depends only on individual to use the innovations in an optimistic way. If not, then it will turn out to be bane of their life.

Problems ? Smile at it !

 Few days back, while having breakfast with my friend in a hotel, I was able to sense he has some problem. I enquired him,"What happened ? why are you looking dull ?". I'm  making my mind to console him, despite the size of the problem. He said "how could west indies win the world cup, it is our home town, we have to win, right ?" I was mazed with his reply. He continued "West Indies won three world cups dude, it's a record. When are we going to break this record?". I replied "What meant to happen, was happened. England didn't win, thank god for that." He partially agreed with me and continued "it would be great if India had won the cup." I gave him a stare and asked the server to put "Pudhina Chuttney" in his plate, then told him to have as it could help him to digest West Indies victory. While thinking about this later, I had a doubt, was this a problem ?

Certainly, it was ! This would had been the problem for quarter of a billion people.

I started to think which problem makes me to feel difficult. The foremost problem of all yet to be married boys is my problem too. It's hair. You read it right!  H A I R !

I want hair at-least to cover my bald head till my marriage. I have to be look good in the photos to be taken during my marriage. I'll cherish with those photos rest of my life. I  can show my grand children, "See how handsome your grandfather was !". I can have a wig, but whenever I see those photos, somewhere in my heart I'll be in guilt. Now say, my problem is bigger than my friend isn't ?

I have few friends in a list who used to share everything to me. One from the list called me couple of days back. I guessed the reason of the call, but picked it as I was surprised. After a formal talk, slowly he came to the point, the purpose of the call, problem with his girlfriend. He wanted me to give valuable suggestion. I thought to myself, "If I was expert in this I won't be talking with you at this time !"  I told few things what I felt were right. After talking to him, I understood, I can lead my life being bald but not being in love.

This morning I happened to meet my another friend. It's been long time. We talked about our golden days. As the time goes, talk went to our future plans. Once I said mine, he replied "You knew what to do, but I'm not sure where I'm going, it's been a year we completed our education, I'm yet to get a job, unaware of what's waiting for me in life." I was baffled, managed myself to give him few tidbits. I know it won't console him, it's a mere effort from myself to keep my friend in hearts-ease.

When I getting wind to see what world’s facing, don’t want to go too far, for past one month. Starting with notorious, fire accident in Kollam. 100 died and  more than 375 injured in Kollam. Flyover in Kolkata ate 21 and left 60 with bites. While picking up little further, first thing came to my mind is Brussels Attack. Nearly 30 killed and 300 injured. Recent Earthquake at Ecuador, reports saying minimum of 570 died, totally 2,560 people went missing. Suicide attack  in Lahore took the life of 72 including 36 kids and 100 injured.

Just don’t look at the people died, see the family living in their shadow. Have a thought for injured people too. These incidents are much talked, so that I am aware of. Many more would happened and there are chances for few may went unnoticed.

Now analyze, all the things I said and say, are we living in problems ! If you are reading this, you are capable of having internet facility. This itself a great grace.

Love,  job, money is a part of life. If there is some problem in that we can sort out, what if the life itself turns to be a problem. Lets be happy with what we have and give our best to march ahead positively in life.

the 20 minute walk

Life is a game; we don't know what will happen next. We don't have either pause or restart button. Sometimes we feel it will be better to have those options. It help to keeps us away from all burdens, sorrows and be idle. On the other side, it will reduce the thrill we will obtain. But once we resume we have to face those again, can't escape. What we can do is, take some time and figure out what’s happening around us and understand ourselves..

When I started to figure out, I saw a dinosaur like lorry coming in front of me in right side and jam packed town bus coming behind me in other side. I calculated both vehicles gonna pass side by side at a time and I have to move sidelines. When I checked my beside, it’s full of dirt. No other way, I have to put my legs into it and move aside to be in safe zone. None will voluntarily put their leg into dirt. But in this scenario, I have to because I value my life more than my self pride.

By chewing the pile of memories and dozens of advice, started walking to my place. It’s one more hectic day in the middle, as the blind vehicles moving in either side. Being a pedestrian, I know what it would be like while walking in the peak hours. In the last two months, I had witnessed nearly 4-5 accidents in the same road, between the time 6 - 7 pm. Most of the accidents happen because of carelessness than speed, as we failed to read what our peers having in their mind. Has anything more important in this world than our life, our beloved one’s happiness?

Both vehicles passed each other and I took  back my leg out of the dirt and balanced myself.  Moved further and went to the petty shop run by Indians from north side, bought 10 Rs coke in cup and resume walking back to room by drinking it sip by sip.

Some part of me feels that the best mind game in life is driving. We won't have any clue about who comes in opposite side neither the person coming behind you nor the person going in front of you. We have to read their minds, including the people walking along the road, sometime even dog’s. Similarly in life, we have to understand what other wants. We simply can't move forward putting other's view behind. As dogs in streets, sometimes it's hard to know what they are thinking, what they want, why they are behaving like this. Sometimes they will make us to feel, we are wrong. To move ahead, we have no other choice. Be patient with those dogs.

Driving is in same frequency with the life. While overtaking a vehicle, we have to read the mind of drivers who’s riding in front of you and also the driver who’s coming from other side. If we don’t want them to overtake us, they have to come behind. When they try to beat us, mostly it would end with an accident. During those rides, we don’t know who’s coming behind us. Mostly we will make a way for them and ensure their safety by signalling them to go ahead. If we can be this good to the third person, why can’t we be like this to the known face. Some may argue if we didn’t give them a way, it’ll affect us or cause significant problems. Whatever may be the reason, we are doing this for ourself.

If a person going in front of us is taking right turn, we have to wait till he completes it. If we are moving ahead without stopping for a second, damages may occur to vehicles results in waste of money, quarrels may happen with other person, chances for injury, to the maximum it may lead us to criminal cases. People with brain won't prefer these, they wait for the other person to take his turn. People with this temperament there, won't be patience enough if someone comes in their way. They will express their mind out. This won't lose us money, get any injuries. We won't give a mind to hurt others. It's not fair.

Think about the scenario, we have to go certain place however we don't have vehicle to go. By asking lift we will manage to reach the destination. If the owner of the vehicle got important work in between, he/she has no other way, drop us in the middle of the road and he/she will carry on with his/her work. We can't argue with that man,"You gave your word, so you have to drop me at my place." That's his vehicle, he has every right to pick and drop anyone anywhere at anytime. If that person is who consider their commitment as first than their work, what more to say, we will reach your destination happily. It's a rare case.

Equally in life, we won't find people accompany us all the time. When they get some thing important than us, they will go. It's their life and I feel we don't have any rights to question about their decision in their life. If you are a person who's committed to your word and expect others to be like that, you are the wrong one, dude. Change your mindset, right now!

In the meantime, reached near my room. Before entering the room, shot the crushed coke cup in the dustbin kept outside and my disturbed thoughts.

This twenty minute walk made me to understand what I haven’t for past twenty years. It’s always easy to preach and follow those initially but taking those all through your life needs a sage life. It’ll definitely change whom we are in a better path. While trailing this way, you may feel this as being absurd.

In short, have all the fun and be crazy with keeping one thing in mind, you alone can't be the reason for your happiness. Give a try, it’s valuable.
